Huntingdonshire Sustainability Appraisal 2025
In April 2025 Easton has been identified as one of the 51 sites in Huntingdonshire for possible housing development. The details were explained in the May 2025 Newsletter. For villagers to have their say regarding this proposal, they need to log into the Huntingdon Planning Portal and add their comments.
Please click on this link; Planning Portal. Then click on the ‘register’ link in the centre of the screen. when registering, if you are not registering as part of an organisation, select the option to register as an agent. Fill in the rest of the fields and press submit. You will then be sent an email with a link to activate your account. After clicking on this link in the email it will take you back to the website with a link to log in. When logged in, scroll down to the option for ‘Sustainability Appraisal of sites’. Click on Easton on the list of villages on the left hand side. Before adding comments you will need to add yourself as a Consultee.

Ting is a great new way to get about by bus in West Huntingdonshire, without having to rely on a car. Simply download the ting app, book your trip and your bus will pick you up at your chosen time. Plus, you can travel anywhere within the service zone for just £2 each way!
The Ting service is available 6am-8pm Mondays to Saturdays. Ting doesn’t operate on Sundays or Bank Holiday Mondays.
Give Ting a try, simply download the Vectare DRT app to your phone, book your trip and your bus will pick you up at your chosen time. Plus, you can travel anywhere within the service zone for just £2 for a single fare, £4 return. HACT (Huntingdon Association for Community Transport) is a charity serving the Huntingdonshire area of Cambridgeshire to people who have difficulties using conventional modes of transport. We aim to provide accessible, affordable and safe transport services.Although this service is available to all, you must be a member of HACT to use this service.

Our roads, footpaths, and byways
If you find a problem or obstruction on a road, footpath, or bridleway and want to report this to Cambridgeshire County Council then they now have an online Portal when you can drill down into a map and lodge a report of the issue which will then be dealt with.

Dog Control in Huntingdon
Huntingdon District Council have confirmed that the Public Space Protection Order has been reissued for a further 3 years until at least 2026. This order now includes further measures to tackle out of control dogs. The conditions are to challenge the behaviors of irresponsible dog owners or those in charge, which includes protecting public spaces from dogs which damage or destroy other animals, cause people alarm and/or distress, and from people responsible for dogs that repeatedly stray.
